Hello, dear blog. How have you been? I know its been a while. Sorry about that. Christmas has been fun and crazy busy. Here’s a little look at what I have been up to.

Joel and his Kiev.
Things I got:
- A cute typewriter key (an L) ring from Joel.
- A scone pan (love it!) from mom and dad.
- An Ikea desk from mom and dad. (Can’t wait to set up my studio/office area!)
- Lots of wonderful films Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Persepolis & Pride and Prejudice (the good one).
- Some cute clothes.
- A beautiful leather portfolio from Joel. (Love it!!)
- Other lovely things…
Tomorrow Joel and I will be flying out of Charleston and heading to Detroit for a mini second Christmas with his family and to celebrate his great-grandma’s 100th birthday. Cors is going to stay here. He’s been having a lot of fun running around my parents backyard. We’ll fly back to West Virginia on Sunday and drive back home on Monday. Its been a nice long break.
I came across this quilt the other day and I can’t wait to make a similar one! Speaking of making things, I have some exciting plans for the new year. I’ll write more when the preparations are further along.
