We got to stop at a great record shop this weekend, Lakeshore Record Exchange, Rochester, NY. It’s a lovely little shop with a decent selection. Joel and I found at least a dozen records we would have been more than happy to take home, but in the end we came away with three: She and Him, Vol. 2, an Arctic Monkeys EP, and best of all Belle & Sebastian, The BBC Sessions.
I loved the music that was playing while we were there and my friend Carli and I kept guessing who it was. Before we left I gathered up my courage and asked the old gentleman running the shop and the turntables what he was playing.
It turned out to be Le Pop 5, a collection of wonderful French pop songs. I’m so glad I asked about it!
Ps. I need to write a little post just about Rochester. We had a great time there and it’s an interesting city!
