It’s a super hot Fourth of July weekend here and today’s weekend projects are all about keeping cool. We’ve been planning to get an ice cream maker soon (we’re still trying to figure out which machine to get) and I don’t mind telling you that I can not wait! I’m so excited to try out all different kinds of flavors we’ll come up with. Yum!

In the summer I’m always trying to come up with ways to get my hair out of my way. I love this DIY up do idea (it’s from Martha Stewart Weddings of all places!) This style is so lovely and perfect a party or a lazy day in jeans and tshirts.
