Most evenings we take Cors for a walk to the park. He starts going crazy, running around and barking and trying to herd his humans to the door if we don’t have him in his walk harness by 6, silly pup!
Last night on our way back from the park it hit me that August is almost over! Our little backyard looked so pretty that I had to grab my camera and try to capture a little summertime sunshine and some of the colors of our garden.

Right now our garden is full of herbs, roma tomatoes…
…lettuces, chilies…
these habanero chilies have the best color!
…and my little rose of course! It’s been so fun to see it change and open up more each day. I really love the little touch of pink on the edges of the petals!

This weekend one of my plans is to start getting the garden ready for fall. I have lots of little basil and parsley plants to move from the beds where their seeds sprouted to indoor containers. Fresh basil year round? Yes, please! Are you getting your hands dirty this weekend?
