This morning I got up early and went downtown to my very first Renegade Craft Fair with my friend Abby! She’s a native Chicagoan and I am super grateful for her navigation skills. We hopped on the Metra and took it down to Union Station, then a short ride on the L, and there we were in Wicker Park!
It was a drizzly morning but everyone seemed to be having a good time. It was like a handmade party! And it was so neat to see things in person that I’d only seen on Etsy and to meet the sweet folks that make them.
Wicker Park is such a great area full of shops with pretty windows and restaurants with tasty smells. I love all the old-timey signs!
There were so many pretty shops and booths! A few of my favorite to visit: Red Velvet Art, Pearl & Marmalade, and RobbieMoto.
About halfway through the day we met up with one of Abby’s friends and had a delicious lunch at the sweetest little cafe, Milk & Honey. It’s adorable.
If you’re in the Chicago area tomorrow, make sure you swing by Wicker Park for day 2 of the Renegade Craft Fair!

I live super close and walked it 3 times and I don’t think I saw everything. I can’t wait for the Holiday Renegade (and DIY Trunk Show) craft fairs late this year.
