I know Valentine’s Day is over and we’re all probably suffering from a little chocolate hangover, but I had the nicest Valentine’s Day! Maybe because it was so laid back and not planned to the minute. We have a lot of fun just hanging out so I’m not sure why we ever feel like we need to plan something.
After work Joel and I stopped by our favorite market and picked up things for a fancy pizza and salad (we tried capers and loved them), a demi baguette and local roses. They make the house smell like a garden!
When we got home the most beautiful surprise from my valentine was waiting on the doorstep.
Joel completely surprised me and ordered one of Miniature Rhino and Kiki’s Baklava‘s Valentine Creations. I got the sweetest message in a bottle…
…and amazing baklava! Such good treats!
We made dinner, and by we I mean Joel made dinner and I kept sneaking over to nibble on the baklava or play ball with a demanding puppy. Joel makes the best pizza in the world, truth.
Heart-shaped, because when else are you going to make a pizza heart?

homemade crust and sauce topped with mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto, mushrooms and fresh, yummy basil
I don’t blame you if your mouth is watering. My furry Valentine couldn’t help begging!

so nice of you to share your story! so glad it was a great day & your man is a total mench!
I think he’s pretty great :)
Oh man, I haven’t had baklava since high school, it’s been too long. That meal looks absolutely delicious, I can’t say I’ve ever had heart-shaped pizza. :) It sounds like your Valentine’s Day was great. Yay for staying in and having laid-back chill sessions instead of planning fancy outings!
PS: Every time I see pictures of Cors, I just can’t help thinking ‘Awww’ to myself. He’s so cute!
