Today is one of the of the first Saturdays in ages that I haven’t had any plans! It’s kind of fun to have a whole day stretching out in front of you with lots of potential but no absolute must dos. And the best way to start this sort of day is with pancakes!
Joel made wheat pancakes this morning. They taste so good with a bit of butter and linden berries and coffee, too of course!
Today I think I might…
…figure out where to hang some of the framed prints that have been patiently waiting for a spot on the wall, photograph two of the projects I’ve been wanting to share here, bake some white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, and maybe play with my hair a bit. I want to try this!
I hope Saturday brings you a little time to relax and maybe a little something sweet!

Also, this isn’t really related to this post, but do you happen to know where I can get a cheap frame for a print I recently bought? It’s 13×19, and I don’t want to spend too much, but don’t really know where to look. Thanks, either way.
Frames are the trickiest things! Maybe because prints come in all kinds of great, unusual sizes and frames do not. I buy almost all of my frames at Ikea. Most of the time I have to trim the mats but it works out pretty well usually.
I’m spoiled because we have an Ikea just 30 minutes away. St. Louis really needs one. For places around Greenville I’d check the thrift stores. I bet you could find one that just needs a little updating, maybe with the help of some spray paint. For that size print you’re probably better off buying a larger frame and cutting the mat down. I hope that helps a little :)
Thanks, Jess! I wish we did have an Ikea close to here, I love that place. I never thought of buying big and working with the mat to make it work, but it seems such a simple fix I feel dumb for not thinking of it! Thanks for the advice, I can’t wait to find something for this print so I can put it up in CJ’s room :)
