I’ve been working on a new project these days. My goal was to write a small collection of mitten patterns for the fall, but oh mittens! The thing about mittens, is that I can’t seem to make a pair! I mean I can make mittens. I know how and I have the technical ability, but I just prefer the look of fingerless gloves. To me they are more stylish, more functional and just more lovely.
So the mitten collection has turned in to a mini collection of fingerless gloves. I’m still working on them and I’ve narrowed in on three designs that I love. Here’s a little look at two of them:

I love these shades of blue and green for fall. Now I just need to find the perfect marigold yellow to round out the collection!

ooh, now you’ve got me thinking wistfully about fall, although really i should focus on summer first! looks like some great patterns you are working on, and i agree about the fingerless gloves versus mittens. i really like mittens, but somehow they just don’t work for me the same way.
These are beautiful! I love the colors you chose. It’s too humid here to imagine wearing them, but I can’t wait for the fall!
