Hi! I hope you’re having a great Saturday! I’m recovering from a little case of food coma and I just realized that I was too busy baking pies and getting ready for a little BBQ we had with friends today and I completely forgot to post yesterday’s Thrifty Friday Post!

re-purposed beer bottle and a rose from the garden
This week’s thrifty idea is pretty simple. Next time you’re expecting company take a look around your house and yard before picking up cut flowers from the store.
For this little centerpiece I used a lemonade bottle that I salvaged from the recycling bin. I gave the bottle a good washing (lemonade is sticky stuff!) and added a few blooms from the plant on my front porch and a few sprigs of Thai basil from my herb garden. I think it’s a sweet little combination.
