waysideviolet - cozy, lovely things

wednesday loves

At the very top of today’s Loves is Woody Allen’s  Midnight in Paris. I went to see it Sunday night with my friend Abby and her friend Alyssa and I loved it! I loved every second of the film and it’s such a good one to see in the theater. I’m sold, let’s all move to Paris!

The story is sweet and magical with plenty of funny Woody Allen characters to cringe and cheer for. Have you seen it? What did you think?

Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald

I just adore Allison Pill as Zelda Fitzgerald!

When I think of Woody Allen, I think of New York. Maybe that’s why after seeing Midnight in Paris I had to revisit one of my favorite illustration blogs, Paris vs. New York. (Or maybe this is why.)

I think I’ve blogged about it  before, but just to recap, Paris vs. New York is the home of dozens of adorable illustrations comparing Paris and NYC. Right now this one is my favorite:

Sunday Morning

I’m also loving the styling of these editorial photos! (via Honestly…WTF) I think there’s something Parisian about them. Dressing up for a trip to the grocery store, that’s  Parisian, right?

And last but not least, I love this pair of La Lune & Le Soleil prints (via Design Work Life)

Le Soleil & La Lune

That’s my list of French things I love this week!

I loved it too! And I laughed a lot when hyponcondriac heroe wants to come back to our times, thinking about antibiotics unavailable in the 30′s. About sun, come and visit Versailles :)
