What a great, busy, fun weekend!
Friday night, there were glasses of red wine, good pasta and tidying up the house for company. Saturday we woke up to a mighty thunderstorm, which was just what the garden needed. The ginkgo tree looked pretty covered in raindrops.
Saturday afternoon, we went downtown to see the Chicago Fire play Manchester United. It was a good game and the crowd was loud and happy and the weather was perfect! We stood in line with a bunch of “proper” Man U supporter, by which I mean they were British. They sang the whole time and were hilarious!
That night we met up with a college friend, Audra, for sushi. She stayed with us the rest of the weekend and Sunday we had all kinds of adventures that involved: Ikea (on a Sunday, crazy!), The Firkin, walks with Cors, and lots of coffee drinking, knitting and Dr. Who watching. It was like “the good ol’ days” and just so fun!
