Sometimes, when you should be tidying your home, it is easier to bake mini peach pies and drink French pressed coffee instead. And when there’s a wonderful thunderstorm brewing outside and the wash is humming away, it really is the only thing to do!
I had a bit of dough left over from last week’s plum tart, found a perfect peach and whipped up a three mini pies in a snap. I cut the peach into 1/2 inch slices and tossed them in a bit of sugar and then sautéed them in butter until they were nice and soft.
I like that the crust turned out a bit rustic. That’s what I call a perfect coffee break!

I love a girl who’s as serious about her coffee as mine. Do you drink yours black?? Now that’s serious. As for your plum tarts… my tummy is rumbling! xo
What an awesome mug! (sorry, I have a bit of a mug fetish…) It sounds like what you ended up doing was much more relaxing (and delicious!) than cleaning :)
I have an unhealthy affection for mugs, too! We have boxes of them because our kitchen cabinets just don’t have room for the whole collection, haha.
This one is one of my favorites. It’s my weekend mug :)
Jessica,
Your coffee break sounds amazing; I will have to follow your example once I get a french press!
