If you follow my flickr photostream (if you don’t, let’s be flickr friends!) you probably noticed that I had a super wonderful weekend!
I got up early Saturday morning and met friends at Egg Harbor in the cute town of Libertyville. We had brunch outside and I had their amazing cinnamon roll french toast. I know, so much sugar but it’s so good! So good that I forgot to photograph it!
After brunch we realized that we still had a while before the train that was to take us down to Wicker Park. We walked around the rose garden on the town’s square.
Then we stopped by Leggy Bird Designs. It’s an amazing mix of antiques and modern things. The collection of 1920s-1950s costume jewelry and glassware were my favorites.
Despite this photo, it’s a beautiful bright shop with all kinds of amazing lighting pieces and so many great things to look at. I wanted to take a bright orange, garden lion home with me. I’ll be visiting again for sure!
From there to walked to the train station and arrived just in time to step get on the train that took us down to Wicker Park and to Renegade Craft Fair. More of that tomorrow!
