When I was younger, we had to take standardized tests all the time (at least it felt like all the time). No matter how long the testing days felt I always knew that my mom would pick my sister and me up and take us to the arcade and I would play skee ball. Lots of skee ball! It was always the perfect thing after a long school day of filling in circles with number 2 pencils.

I’m in need of a little mental skee ball and Kara’s A-Z post sounds like just the thing!

Here we go…

A. Age: 25
B. Bed size: Queen. Somehow, Cors manages to take up most of it.
C. Chore that you hate: Vacuuming because I hate my vacuum!
D. Dogs: I love dogs! I want to get a little brother for Cors when we have a backyard.
E. Essential start to your day: Coffee and PRI’s The World. (In my head I always yell the “THE WORLD” part.)
F. Favorite color: I’m bad at picking fav colors but I always like green. Right now I love emerald-green and marigold-yellow together.
G. Gold or Silver:  White gold.
H. Height: 5’2”….and I’m the tallest girl in my immediate family.
I. Instruments you play: I played bass and a little mandolin in high school, but I think I’ve forgotten it all.
J. Job title: Technically I’m the Administrative Assistant for Undergraduate Records at a university. Yes, it’s as boring as it sounds. But I also knit, take photos, make good food, have an Etsy shop and I go to grad school full-time.
K. Kids: No thank you.
L. Live: In the northern Chicago suburbs. I dislike the suburbs.
M. Mother’s name: Alice
N. Nicknames: Jessa has followed me my whole life.
O. Overnight hospital stays:  Nope. I’m as strong as an ox!
P. Pet peeves: People from my home state tend to say “whenever” when they just mean “when”. Like this, “Whenever we went to the store I bought this blue shirt.” What they really mean is, “When we went to the store I bought this blue shirt.”  I’ve never understood why they do it and it drives me up the wall!

R. Right or left handed: Right but I snowboard left-footed or goofy as it’s technically known.
S. Siblings: A sister, a brother-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.
U. Underwear: A very good idea.
V. Vegetable you hate: I don’t care much for cabbage.
W. What makes you run late:  “To be early is to be on time. To be on time is to be late and to be late is unacceptable.” I’m usually punctual. (Okay, I’m usually early.)
X. X-Rays you’ve had: Nose, because I took a knee to the nose once.
Y. Yummy food that you make: I am awesome at baking pies and making coffee.
Z. Zoo animal: I saw a baby giraffe once.
