I don’t know where my head is these days! I had this week’s Wednesday Loves post all set to go and completely forgot to post it. So today we have a belated loves.
It’s so chilly and rainy here this week. In other words, we’re having my favorite weather. I mean it. I love cold and mist days they’re so perfect for staying cozy inside. I pulled out one of my favorite soup recipes on Tuesday. It might not look like much but it’s so delicious!
My prescription for a perfect rainy day meal: homemade split pea soup and grilled cheeses. I use a sharp cheddar and monterey jack on sourdough. Here is the recipe in case you’d like to try it for yourself!
In case you need a movie recommendation to go with that meal, I’ve been rewatching an old favorite A Philadelphia Story. How stunning is Katharine Hepburn! I love her!
Another thing I’m loving this week are my brand new earrings from Lara Lewis. They’re so cheerful and I keep smiling about them!
Back to happy food thoughts, I’m making a little birthday menu up for Monday and right now I like the idea of this:
