Happy (early) birthday to my good friend, Abby! I met Abby through work and I am so glad I did! She’s one of those bright sparks who makes your life better with coffee and good conversation. We’re also knitting buddies!
Today, I thought I’d share a peek at how I approach gift giving. Maybe I over think things, but a little extra thought can go a long way to making someone’s day and I think that’s important.
My go to gift usually has: 1) a sweet treat 2) a card 3) something handmade 4) a good book and 5) pretty wrappings
1) My favorite sweet treat to give is a bit of luxurious chocolate.
2) I found the perfect card (by the talented Lizzy Stewart) for Abby.
3) I love knitting for others. It’s what I do! Abby has been admiring my cozy fingerless gloves so I made her a matching pair.
4) I have a mental list of my favorite books to give. I picked out The Architecture of Happiness for Abby because I knew she hasn’t read it and would find it interesting.
5) I wanted a pretty and rustic look, so I used brown paper, wax paper, floral washi tape, twine and a bit of pretty, green ribbon.
And there you have it! What are your favorite things to give?
