August 8, 2009 happy weekend

happy weekend

I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend filled with your favorite things! It has been horribly humid and warm here the last few days, and I can’t help but look forward to fall with its crisp nights and foggy mornings, bright leaves and expectation of harvest.  I’ve been working extra hard on the winter knits [...]

July 1, 2009 in the garden

in the garden

We’ve had some delightfully cooler days this week and I’ve found myself drawn more and more to the outdoors.  Today, after some plant watering and weed pulling, I took the camera for a little wander around the garden. I found this little fellow in the middle of our side yard. I scanned my flower seed [...]

July 29, 2008 Horsefly July Update

done, next.

Classes and graduation are over. Sunday before (graduation) we bought flowers and tomatoes plants which we are going to pot tonight. AgapeFork

AgapeFest is nearly here, which means Greenville will be swarmed by happy, eager fans. Its kind of amazing if you step back an think about it. In just two days a large fairground is transformed into two great venues. The staff seems to be pretty great this year. Having Joel helps them I am sure. [...]

April 27, 2008 its not so much the weather as it is the classes

its not so much the weather as it is the classes

I am ready for summer, or rather I am ready for the semester to be over. I have one large project, a few small things, and a stupid medium size project. I want summer to hurry up and get here, not for the warmer weather (summer in Greenville brings stifling mugginess) but for a break [...]
