I saw this stunning velvet headband tutorial on A Field Journal and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. The velvet and beads and feathers are so perfect for this time of year. Aren’t they gorgeous!

Happy Sunday!

It always seems like I spend forever in the card section of Target hunting for a pretty card that says what I want to say.  And I can only find ugly cards with nice sentiments or pretty ones with silly words.  So I love this card by Ruthi Auda. Making a Polaroid camera envelop out of cork board! Such an adorable idea!

Yesterday was my birthday and I had the nicest day running around St. Louis with Joel and my mom and dad.  We drank coffee and shopped (well the guys went to a movie and mom and I shopped). It was a perfect birthday!  Thanks to everyone for the Twitter messages and comments wishing me “happy birthday”. You’re the best!

All the wonderful sweater weather that has been coming our way has also sent me a ton of Etsy orders and another wholesale order (my largest yet!) so there hasn’t been much time for just-for-fun projects this weekend. But I did come across two fun ideas that I just had to share:

D.I.Y Saddle Shoes by Miss James from bluebird vintage.

Baby Shower Invitations by Elsie from a beautiful mess.  I think these would make lovely invites for pretty much any occasion.

The new Urban Outfitters catalogue arrived a few weeks ago and I was so impressed!  The photos and layouts are so lovely and a bit more grown up and put together than usual.  After flipping through a few times, I knew I just had to do something fun with it.  And so I made these:

I cut this page into quarters, added some card stock and a few buttons.

Voilà, pretty little cards!
