Project 52: Week 4

This Week’s Project
Project: Watch Five Documentary Films
Length of Project: This week
Joel was traveling for part of this week so each evening I watched a different documentary. I love documentaries, but for some reason I have to make a plan to watch one. It’s not a genre I usually pick on a whim. My three favorites were:
The 100 Years Show
The charming and lovely story of modern painter Carmen Herrera. It’s less than 30 minutes and I think everyone should watch it.
Abstract: Art of the Design/ Paula Scher
An episode from the Netflix show Abstract. Perfect for the Paula Scher fan or anyone interested in typography.
The Treasures From the Wreck of the Unbelievable
I can’t really describe this one without giving away the whole thing. All I will say is if you liked Exit Through the Gift Shop you might like this. I kept thinking about it for days and there are some gorgeous shots.
On Going Projects
Project: Read one book a month
Length of Project: All year
For January, I am reading Nothing Feels Good: Punk Rock, Teenagers, and EMO by Andy Greenwald. I’ve made a lot of progress, but I don’t think I’ll finish this before the end of the month.
I’m using Goodreads to keep track of my progress on this goal.
Project: Gratitude Journal
Length of Project: All year
I feel like my entries are getting a little repetitive and I want to do a little bit more reading on different approaches to this practice.
