a few etsy finds
Last evening I was looking on Etsy for pillows for a new couch (a task that is proving more difficult than I expected). I didn’t find quite what I was looking for, but I did come across some lovely things.

I’ve started thinking about Christmas already. Probably because we’re having a full-blown cold front here in Austin, brrr! Between you and me I’ve actually begun wrapping presents already!
Anyway, I thought it would be a good idea put the cable knit coffee cozy pattern back in the Etsy shop incase anyone might be looking for gifts to make this year. I’m also thinking of whipping up a pattern and directions for the knit cowl scarves I made last year. Like this one:

I don’t mind grey days. They make for some of the coziest I think.

Even after all these years of daily visits to Etsy, I still love the thrill of discovering a new (to me) shop!
A few days ago I came across Lee Coren and fell for all of her dreamy creations.
You can visit her Etsy shop here and website here.

gift guide: etsy finds under $15
This year I’m trying to make especially useful gift guides with more thought put into them. Because what’s the use of making something no one can use? Today we’re starting off with six brilliant ideas to help you stuff stockings or ace your Secret Santa giving.
I’m making a lot of the gifts I’ll be giving, but I always rely on wonderful Etsy makers to help me out. These are some little gifts that make a big impact.
Upper Row: Kate Earrings by Hedgerow Rose – $12, Heart Notecard by The Paper Cub – $5, Custom Letterpress Keychain by Oh, Albatross – $12.
Lower Row: Lavender + Mint Soap by Blue Clay Soap – $9, Silver Moon Keychain by Cutpath – $14, Confetti Filled Balloon by The Flair Exchange – $5
We don’t usually dress Cors up. He wouldn’t stand for it. During Chicago winters we had a few sweaters that he would put up with, but mostly he gets sad when dressed. I wonder what he would think of being a giraffe for Halloween? I think the little guy below is too cute.

I used to make Etsy treasuries all the time and every now and then I get the urge to make one. I’ve always enjoyed putting pretty things together. This is my latest treasury and I think it’s one of my favorites, ever!

cozy etsy finds
Fall is very slowly making its way down here to Austin. If I hadn’t lived elsewhere in the country I would almost call it chilly here. I’ve become such a wimp when it comes to colder weather. I never thought that could happen after two years of Chicago blizzards, but it has.
I’ve started reaching for comfy, long sleeved tees and spending more time in the kitchen with the smells of apples and cinnamon. These three items would be welcome additions:
